About Our Pastors.

Pastor Lane is a native of Lake Charles of Louisiana. He is a dedicated man of God, who is excited about God, His Word and His people. Pastor Lane was born in Lake Charles, LA. At an early age, his family moved to San Francisco, where he completed is primary and secondary education.

While finishing his Freshman year in college, Pastor Lane received Christ as his personal savior. Coming from a long line of ministers, he acknowledged God's call upon his life, preaching his first sermon on January 28, 1985. He graduated from Saint Mary's College of California in 1987, with a dual degree in Business Administration and Economics.

Pastor Lane has been the pastor of Neighborhood Baptist Church since 1998.

His vision is to teach and train believers how to walk in the fullness of all that God has for them. As a gifted teacher and leader; he is touching the lives of many people.

In addition to pastoring, he is a Mentor, Friend and High School Varsity Football Coach.

Pastor Lane and Pastor Toyea have recently launced their teaching ministry; Reigning in Life Ministries.

Pastor Lane has been married to his High School sweetheart, Toyea. They are raising their three daughters and one Goddaughter.

Toyea is first and foremost a daughter and servant of God. She has been married to Pastor Lane Hawkins for twenty-two years, and is the mother of four beautiful daughters. She is an author, minister, playwrite, conference and seminar speaker, songwriter, mentor and many other things.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary's College of California, and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University San Francisco Bay Area. In 2000 Pastor Toyea authored and published her first book of poetry and inspirational writings entitled, Dreams Alive. She is often complimented on her easy reading, yet thought provoking writing style. God has given her the ability to write so simplistically, yet powerfully. He has blessed her with many talents, and it's her goal to use them all, as much as she can, to His glory.

As First Lady of the Neighborhood Baptist Church in San Francisco, California, she serves with her husband in ministry. The Music & Arts Pastor is the current Praise and Worship Leader, a songwriter with a beautiful voice, and an awsome anointing. She also ministers in dance with the dance ministry Jubilation.

Toyea is an anointed teacher with inspiring and challenging messages from God. She taught the New Members class and was Director of the Youth and Children's Ministries for several years.She is currently embarking on some new areas of ministry, and looking forward to what God is going to do through her. It is her hearts desire to please God in all that she does, and to one day hear Him say, "Well done, My good and faithful servant.
