About Us

About Our Beliefs.
picture

We are an 'Evangelical Church', which means that our theology is derived from the Gospel. Our beliefs are not grounded in tradition or speculation, but rather in the Gospel. We are 'Bible-based' when it comes to our theology. Our core beliefs outlined below are centered in Christ and His message. We do not believe in ideology that stem from outside the bible and we know this approach to be 'safe'. God gave us the Bible as a revelation of Himself, and we hold fast to its truths alone.

Although we are a Baptist Church, our practice is more 'Pentecostal'. We believe that the supernatural outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Believers is for today (Acts chapter 2). The church was born on the Day of Pentecost and was empowered by the Holy Spirit. Miracles, signs and wonders happened among believers on a daily basis.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Holy Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1:19-20)

There is one true, holy God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of deity (Matt 28:19; 2 Cor 13:14).

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the Father, in his personal future return to earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.

The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in Christ's atoning work on the cross, when He shed His precious blood for our sins (Ephesians 1:7).

Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation (John 1:13; 3:3; 1 Pet 1:23). The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit enables us to live a holy life (Gal 5:16).

The baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask (Luke 11:13). The supernatural operation of the gifts of the Spirit is a present day reality (1 Cor 12:8-10; Heb 2:3-4).

The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer (Isa 53:4-5; Matt 8:17).
It is our confident hope that Jesus Christ will return as He promised (Acts 1:11) and that he will gather up His church in the rapture (1 Thess 4:17).

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting separation from God (Dan 12:2; John 11:25-26; Rev 21:7-8).
